The Milwaukee Panthers have not been idle on the recruiting front since the end of the season. Here is a breakdown of these newest commitments, thanks to today's news coming out of the Journal-Sentinel.
Sekou Konneh
6'9", 205lbs Konneh was highly recruiting out of high school and wound up at DePaul where he redshirted last season. Fortunately for us, he has decided to return to Milwaukee to continue his collegiate studies and become a (potentially big) part of Panther Basketball.
Konneh averaged 22.6 points. 10.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists as a senior for St. Thomas More in Bayview (South Shore Milwaukee suburb), leading the Cavaliers to a 29-1 record and the Division 3 WIAA state championship in 2024.
Lundy on Konneh:
“Sekou was our program’s biggest target two years ago when he graduated from St. Thomas More High School here in Milwaukee,” Lundy said of Konneh, who in three years at Thomas More put up 1,488 points and 966 rebounds. “He is a terrific young man. His athleticism and skill set make him a perfect fit for our program.
Isaiah Dorceus
And elite NJCAA player, 6', 180lbs Dorceus was PG at (Juco) Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, Florida. Dorceus started turning heads in the NJCAA realm, now it is time for him to turn heads in the Horizon League.
And get a great education from the Great University by the Lake while he's here.
Amar Augillard
Hailing from Zion, Illinois, Augillard, a 6'5", 220lbs beast of a small forward that has transferred to Milwaukee by way of Fresno State has a huge upside. And bonus- he shot 82.9% from the free-throw line last season for the Bulldogs.
This incoming group of commits (with 2 more scholarships to be awarded once the final commitments call in) brings a diverse mix of strength, skill and versatility. All of these players fit the mode of "tilt the floor" fast paced basketball.
Now if they and the remaining 2 outstanding scholly offers yet to commit can shoot? We'll be on a Horizon League warpath...
Welcome one and welcome all, new Panthers. Let's make '25-'26 the season where we pivot to the perennially NIT/Dance-worthy level of success that we have all long envisioned...
go panthers.
remember the little things. 🏆🏀
