Panthers roster complete, big non-con games rolling out

Veteran guard Seth Hubbard will be a boon to our backcourt which was decimated with graduations, transfers and departures

The Milwaukee Panthers men's basketball team filled out its roster with the addition of Chandler Jackson and Seth Hubbard.

Hubbard is a 6'4", 195lbs guard who hails from Jonesboro, GA and brings Milwaukee some much-needed guard experience from his time at Toledo and Western Michigan. Hubbard shot 42.7% (44-of-103) from long distance last season with the Rockets.

Chandler Jackson joins Milwaukee to reinforce the Panthers' front line

Jackson, an Indianapolis native, is a 6'7", 225lbs forward and was coached by former Pat Baldwin assistant John Bowler at Parkland College in Champaign, IL. He averaged 17.0 points and 7.9 rebounds per game last season while shooting 53.4%, 38.1% and 84.5% from the field, perimeter and free throw line, respectively.

If both of these new additions retain their recent shooting form, it could give Milwaukee a big positive jolt where we need it most (the shooting department- specifically perimeter and free throw shooting).

It was also recently announced that the Panthers will host Howard University to open the season and play at Wichita State on November 22nd. This is phenomenal news for everyone hoping that this coaching staff would start challenging the team with some significant non-con scheduling.

Milwaukee is starting to challenge itself in non-con; this could prove key to postseason success in March and April 2026..

It is rumored that Wichita State is just the start of the "big name" non-con opponent announcements... We may be in the cards for a buy game at Bucky or Marquette or Northwestern or Loyola or Minnesota or Iowa State, who knows?

Update: Milwaukee will be playing Wisconsin at the Kohl Center and against Indiana as part of an MTE which Marquette will also be a part of (but not playing against Milwaukee).

For the first time since 2019, the Badgers and the Panthers will square off in a non-conference game

We shall see what pans out soon enough as the non-con games are slated to be announced once a week from now through the end of the summer.

Food for thought... This is probably along the lines of what our depth chart will look like (things could change, but these 10 players are likely in the mix for the bulk of minutes to start the '25-'26 season):

Potential Starting 5

  • Isaiah Dorceus (G)
