@ Detroit
Hot on the heels of a thrilling home win over Green Bay, Milwaukee came out flat against the relatively evenly matched Titans. Over the course of the game Milwaukee claimed a couple brief leads and even led by 6 at halftime after a particularly torrid run but could not stop Detroit's TJ Nadeau (25pts) and Orlando Lovejoy (24pts, 7reb).
Stevie Elam scored 22 (4-10 from 3pt) while Amar Augillard (12pts) and Chandler Jackson (13pts) also scored in double figures.
Detroit separated for good in the final minute and won the game handily, 91-86.
@ Oakland
The Panthers played a decent game, at least offensively. But allowing Oakland to shoot 52% (29-56) from the field and 50% (10-20) from 3pt proved insurmountable.
Chandler Jackson once against took control of the Panthers' offensive attack, scoring 25 points to go along with 4 rebounds on the afternoon.
Sekou Konneh had another breakout game with a double-double (13pts, 11reb, 3blk). Elam and Aguillard both scored in double figures and had hot hands from beyond the arc.
Yet Oakland vanquished Milwaukee yet again, 81-70.
Two more losses. But both games were played tough by a beleaguered Panthers team that fans are not expecting much from at this point.
The Panthers return home for one final regular season game against Youngstown State this Wednesday at 7pm at Panther Arena in downtown Milwaukee.
This game versus YSU will determine who and where Milwaukee plays in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament which starts on March 2nd with the play-in game that Milwaukee is hoping to avoid.
What is left of this Milwaukee Panthers team, despite the abysmal 11-19 (7-12) record, has managed to hang in there and find a way to not completely collapse in the remaining slate of this, the '25-'26 "season of injuries".
It speaks to our depth and future potential that, what was at season's outset largely our bench, is nearly good enough to win any game in this conference on any night. Panthers like Franklin, Elam, Jackson, Dixon, Pippa-White and Konneh have gotten an abundance of minutes and experience they would otherwise not have gotten this season.
Some positives (unexpected, invaluable experience at the very least) will always find a way out of the doom...
go panthers.
press on. 🏆🏀
