D-Lo is back

Despite initially entering the transfer portal, Danilo Jovanovich will return as a Milwaukee Panther for the '26-'27 season. It sure seems like all the gloom and doom of just over a month ago (Juco recruiting expert Jake Williams departure, Konneh-Elam-Dixon-Hubbard-Jovanovich all opting for the portal)- is yesterday's news.

D-Lo is back.

D-Lo will return to Milwaukee for his final collegiate season- a huge boon to our front court

Today's news is good; big, big things are on the Horizon for the Panthers, and the return of D-Lo will be a big part of that. If there was one component that we were a little short on it was the forwards on our roster. This news bolsters a group of postmen to the point where, well, I'd be shocked if we don't improve dramatically next season.

(let's hope we got a few seasons' worth of injuries done with in '25-'26 and this upcoming season is mostly smooth, healthy, "good team chemistry/camaraderie" sailing and only matter of finding our ceiling...).

A (minor-but-substantial enough to warrant being on the injury list) shoulder issue limited D-Lo to just 34 games in his past two seasons as a Panther. But just last season he averaged 12.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. The team will rely heavily on Jovanovich for his leadership and experience.

Let's hope '26-'27 is as memorable a season as the ones we knew not too long ago ('23-'24, '13-'14, '10-'11, '05-'06, '04-'05, '03-'04, '02-'03....).

We'll get there. Sooner than you think.

 go panthers.

press on. 🏆🏀
